Global change with diverse and culturallydifferentiated workforces have necessitated conversations that are smooth andfluid. The organizational communications based on fouressential attributes of organizational communication: intimacy, interactivity,inclusion and intentionality. We can ask use What Leadership conversation areyou proud of? Firstly, Intimacy is getting close. Leaders speak andrespond to at all levels of the organization.
Moreover, leaders listen toconversations at all levels of the organization. It’s not necessarily physicalbut mental proximity required. The three ways to achieve conversationalintimacy are gaining trust, listening well and getting personal. Secondly, Interactivity is promoting dialogue. In adialogue, there is an exchange of comments and questions between participants.There is also an interactivity which makes conversation more open and fluid.There is also technology.
It’s use of latest technology to supplement corporatecommunication challenges. Thirdly, Inclusion is expanding employee ‘roles. Thereis an equal opportunity endeavor which is sharing of ownership between theparticipants of the outcome.
There is a conversation partners which the leadersturn employees into contributing equally towards new ideas and initiatives.There is an emotional engagement which is higher. And there is criticalitywhich leaders are trying to convey the criticality of their messages. Then, Intentionality is persuing an agenda. As afuture Leader, this person must have an open-minded conversation. Moreover, aleader must have a strategic relevance which it allows focus on the relevanceof actions towards strategically important priorities. To conclude, as a Leader, I am proud of interactivity.Because, I think it’s very important to communicate with employees.
Moreover,there is a face-to-face interaction with employees when you have problems.Employees interact with colleagues through blogs and discussions forums. Newcompanies use technologies and use media tools to interact with employees.
