The Inclusion in around the world, India and Haryana

The thesis is dividedinto seven chapters. The chapter one titled ‘Introduction has eighteen parts – Introductionsof Financial Inclusion, Financial Exclusion, Objectives of Financial Inclusion,Benefits of Financial Inclusion to Stakeholders, Scope and Importance ofFinancial Inclusion in India,  Barriersof Financial Inclusion, Role of Financial Institutions in Promoting FinancialInclusion, Indicators of Financial Inclusion, Dimensions of FinancialInclusion, Financial Inclusion: A Global Perspective, Financial Inclusion inIndia, Role of RBI in Financial Inclusion, Profile of Haryana State in India inview of Financial Inclusion, Evolution of Financial Inclusion with specialreference to India, Measures Taken by RBI and Government of India underFinancial Inclusion Programmes, Current Status of Financial Inclusion in India,Reason for the Research and Research Structure.

The chapter brieflydescribes the perspective of Financial Inclusion in around the world, India andHaryana and its impact on rural poor. The second chapter titled ‘Review ofLiterature’ covers research work carried out by various researchers in thefield of financial inclusion in general and rural population in particular. The chapter three has presented the rationale,objectives and hypotheses of the study. The chapter four titled ‘ResearchMethodology’ consists of Introduction, Research Design, Statement of Problem,Research Paradigms, Research Approach, Sample Design, Size and Selection,Research Tools, Pilot Study, Respondents Population, Procedure, DataCollection, Data Analysis and Limitations of the study. The fifth chapter titled’Data Analysis and Interpretation’ is divided into seven sections i.e. DemographicProfile of Respondents (Users), Awareness of Rural People regarding FinancialServices/ Products, availing of Financial Products/Services, satisfaction Leveltowards the Financial Products/Services, Reason for Using the BankingFacilities and Factors Considered While Selecting and Transacting with theBanks are the sub point of users.

Demographic Profile of Respondents(Non-Users) and Reasons for not availing the Financial Products/Services is thesecond point. The third point is related to reasons for dormancy in NoFrills Accounts. The fourth point describe the Profile of Bank Managers,Details on Financial Inclusion, Difficulties faced by banks while adopting FI,Factors Responsible for the Current Status of FI, Banks Strategies for theProgress of FI. Test of Hypothesis, Extent and Coverage of FI and Findings asper objectives are other points of chapter.The chapter six is divided into three parts-summary, conclusion and recommendations. The summary of the complete thesis ispresented in this chapter.

The conclusions have been drawn in the light of theobjectives and salient findings. The recommendations made to take care of theobservations based on the experiences gathered during the work. Thepropositions have been made to explore all those dimensions of the field of thestudy which could not be covered under the scope of the present work. The chapter seven deals with Implication of thestudy for the practitioners and researchers in the area of financial ingeneral. The references have been presented in a standard format followed by anappendix having a sample questionnaire used for the data collection and glossaryof terms.
