iPhone This means that there is no Home button

iPhone X is a mobile phone designed and developed by Apple, announced by CEO Tim Cook on the 12th  of September in 2017, along with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at Apple’s Steve Jobs Theater. These phones were officially released to users from the 3rd of November in 2017. It is said that instead of reading the iPhone X under the “X”, this new version would be called “iPhone Ten” (iPhone 10), and it was designed to mark the 10th anniversary of the Apple phone.

So what makes the iPhone X different?Firstly, the iPhone X owns an almost all-screen design, using the same material as the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The iPhone X is designed with a thin bezel, leaving only a small space at the top to accommodate the TrueDepth camera and sensors. This means that there is no Home button and more importantly, there is no Touch ID sensor. To go to the home screen, users swipe from the bottom up. This model uses a completely new Super Retina HD display. The screen uses an OLED screen size of 5.

8 inches, a resolution of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels, a pixel density of 458 ppi – the sharpest display on an iPhone ever. This kind of screen can save battery. Thus, battery life of the iPhone X is two hours better than the iPhone 7.

In addition, the OLED screen is splash, water and dust resistant. Secondly, the iPhone X uses Face ID which means to unlock, users just look at the screen. Face ID works well even when users change their hairstyles or glasses.

It has a mechanism to identify the face-change of the user over time. Face ID cannot be fooled with photos. However, users need to focus when opening the phone. For example, Face ID will not recognize if users close their eyes.

The opportunity to trick this identification technology is 1 / 1,000,000. FaceID will also be compatible with Apple Pay. Currently when there is no Touch ID, when buying with Apple Wallet users will use Face ID for authentication.Next, the iPhone X uses dual cameras with 12-megapixel resolution for the back camera and 7-megapixel resolution for the front camera.

Both lenses feature anti-shake, quad LED true tone flash. The front camera also has a portrait feature with the help of the TrueDepth camera and sensors. The final difference is that Animoji, animated emojis are able to move which based on the user’s facial tracking application.

This is a specific feature of the iPhone X that uses the TrueDepth camera to read and analyze “more than 50 different facial expressions” reflecting the movements and expressions across 12 different Animoji. Animoji has appeared alongside iMessage stickers, emoji, and other messaging applications. Users can also use Animoji to record and send voice messages to friends, with keeping the voice of the user but use characters to mimic the facial movements of the user.
