Chronic catarrh (inflammation of the mucus membrane especially in the respiratory tract) accompanied by ejection of post nasal bland mucus. Difficulty in breathing. Facial pain in cheeks, teeth, eyes and temple. Foul smell from the mouth.Pulsatilla: Headache; pain extends to teeth and face.  Supra orbital pain; commencing in right temporal region. Itching and burning in eyes.

Profuse lachrymation and secretion of mucus. Eye lids inflamed. Stoppage of right nostril. Coryza and pressing pain at the root of the nose. Large green fetid crusts in nose. Excessive yellow mucus in the morning. Bad smell.

 Sticta: Headache with dull heavy pressure in forehead and at root of nose. Burning in eyes. Catarrhal headache persists before excretion of mucus. Constant urge to blow the nose, but no result on account of dryness of nose.

  Secretions dry rapidly, forming scabs very difficult to clear.  Continuous sneezing. Throat raw and dropping of mucus from posterior nares.  Sore throat and coryza from slightest cold. Mostly it is indicated in sinus congestion with stuffy nose with fullness at the root of the nose causing obstruction for breathing. Merc Sol: Merc Sol is the best remedy when the nasal discharge is yellow-green. Due to the thick and offensive discharge,the nasal membrane will become ulcerated and have burning feeling. Pain and swelling in Nasal bones.

Sneezing and worse damp weather. Catarrhal headaches with much heat in head. Eye lid thick, swollen, red and profuse burning; acrid discharge. Bryonia : Coryza with shooting and aching in the forehead. Swelling of tip of nose. Frontal headache and frontal sinuses involved. Headache seated in occiput.

Drawing in bones towards zygoma. Pressing, crushing and aching pain in eyes. Dry hacking cough from irritation in upper trachea. Expectoration brick shade, hard and falls like lumps of jelly. Tough mucus in trachea, loosened only with much hawking.
